Begin chain stitch
Slip knot: Begin by leaving a long tail, make a loop,insert hook in loop,catch the tail. Pull the yarn through the loop, slip stitch made
Chain stitch (CH)
Chain:wrap the yarn over the hook, catch yarn with hook. One chain made. repeat step 1 for the number of chains for the pattern, do not count the slip knot, abbreviation ch=chain
Single crochet (SC)
Insert hook in the top two loops of second chain from hook.yarn over(yo) and draw up a loop 2 loops on hook.yo and draw through both loops on hook, single crochet made,repeat across each chain.
Half double crochet (HDC)
Yo insert hook in top 2 loops of third ch from hook, yo and draw up a loop , 3 loops on hook. yo draw through all 3 loops. one HDC made
Double crochet (DC)
Yo insert hook in forth ch from hook. yo and draw up a loop, 3 loops on hook. yo and draw through 2 loops, yo and draw through 2 last loops-DC made
Treble Crochet (TR)
Yo twice, insert hook in stitch, (yo, draw through 2 loops)x3 TR made.
Double Treble Crochet (DTR)
Yo x 3, insert hook in st, yo, draw through loop (yo, draw through 2 lps x 4. DTR made.
